This site is dedicated to the preservation of the Yavapai Signal newsletters produced by the Yavapai Amateur Radio Club (YARC) in Prescott Arizona.  Most months since August 1996 are available.  Additional newsletters, if found, will be posted in the future.

The newsletters for March, April, May and June 2003 are the last files created by our former President John Wilson (SK.)  These files were never printed in color, and are available in color here for the first time.  They are shown in red below.

These are PDF files.  Double-click the file to open in Adobe Reader.  From there you can read the file, print it or save it.  If you just want to save it to your hard drive for later, right-click the file and save to your computer.

If you don’t have the free Adobe Reader on your computer, you can download it here Adobe Reader .  Be sure and download the correct one for your operating system.  If you don’t have Windows 7 or later, click on, “Choose a different version.”

*** Rex Mauldin, N7NGM, found some newsletters from 1991 and 1992.  The December 1991 issue is the very first YARC newsletter.  Thanks to Rex for submitting these missing issues.

Many thanks to Bob Smith WB6ODR, Joe Oliver AC6AA, Lee Cunningham KC7CBK and David Passell K6UWV for providing some of the missing issues.

It is assumed that the missing October 2001 issue was because of being so soon after the events of 9/11.  John Wilson worked for the Fire Department, and he probably didn’t issue one for October.

You will note that many of the pages from the early years have hand-written notes on them.  I was going to try to erase the writing, but there were too many.  I decided to leave them as is to give some “character” to the pages.

Thanks also to Fred Zimmerman N7PJN for providing the following documents showing the beginnings of the Yavapai Amateur Radio Club.
